In 2019 and 2020, two major milk purchasers for Tennessee dairy farmers declared Chapter 11 Restructuring. This led to a lot of uncertainty for our Tennessee dairy farmers about their farm futures. Thankfully, dairy farmers in our area did not miss many, if any, milk checks and the sales of both companies (Borden and Dean Foods) have been approved and finalized.
